Land near an illustrative terminator on Mercury, the smallest planet. Explore craters, scarps and impact rocks with a rover and location map. The sunlit side can reach about 430°C and the night side about −180°C; simulated temperatures follow your position relative to the Sun. Mickey and Donald use fictional adaptive sun visors and thermal protection. Return to Hong Kong when ready.
Drive across cratered terrain and scarps near an illustrative day–night boundary. The scene changes its thermal effects with your location relative to the Sun; use the local map to keep track of your exploration.
Yes. This journey opens at an illustrative landing area. Choose a tool from Exploration devices, then explore and track your position on the local map.
Available tools depend on the world. Each expedition has two checkpoints: follow the gold beacon, map diamond and panel direction/distance to the next target. These devices are available here:
At the target, release movement, altitude and steering controls and let the device settle before scanning, inspecting or confirming arrival. Recording takes three seconds. Leaving range, climbing, descending, turning, parking or collecting cancels an unfinished recording; Pause freezes progress. Aerial surveys also require the height shown on the panel.
Landing tasks require flight followed by actual ground contact in the target area; hovering just above the ground does not count as landing. The hopping probe uses each world’s gravity, and only landings in the marked zone earn credit. Distances, heights and survey records are simulated, not scientific measurements.
Open the Simulated expedition log to review checkpoints, or use Exploration journal to reopen a visited destination. Completed checkpoints are saved in this browser for later visits, including after visiting another world or reloading; positions and unfinished scans are not saved. If the browser cannot save records, they last only until the page closes. Clearing site data or closing a private session may remove them. Collect the current device before changing tools. Returning to Earth also waits for device collection.
Use the bottom controls to switch views, pause or reset the view. Drive the rover with WASD or arrow keys and hold the left mouse button to look around; touch controls are available on phones.
The journey stays at the destination until you choose Return to Earth. During surface exploration, use the collect/return controls to bring the rover back before departure.
Switch to the rocket cabin and open the telescope. Hold the left mouse button to drag or use WASD to aim. Q zooms out, E zooms in; the wheel and on-screen buttons also work. Press Space or the photo button to capture the current view, then download a PNG or use sharing supported by your device. Esc closes the telescope.
Choose an available celestial body from Track target to keep it centred as it moves, then adjust magnification from 1–100×. A View obstructed message means another body blocks the sightline; tracking does not see through it.
Drag, use WASD or the direction controls, or choose Manual aim to release tracking while keeping the current direction and magnification. Reset telescope restores the initial direction and 1×. Photos work in both tracking and manual modes.
Mercury is the smallest planet and the closest to the Sun. Its surface can reach about 430°C in sunlight and fall to about −180°C at night; Venus is hotter overall.
The terrain, rapidly changing thermal effects and adaptive astronaut protection are fictional gameplay. The temperature display is an illustrative model, not a local measurement.
The solar-system overview and navigation map use Astronomy Engine to calculate positions for the date and time captured when the world opens. This fixed snapshot is not continuously refreshed. Display distances are compressed; local terrain, spacecraft routes, cloud patterns and most moon animations are illustrative. Dashboard speed and Earth distance describe the simulated journey, not a real spacecraft.
